The Nyssa Theatre was part of the Harris-Voeller Chain in the 1940’s. It was closed in the very late-1960’s or very early-1970’s.

The theatre was gutted and was sold to the restaurant next door (which it already shared a party wall with). The restaurant and bar now occupy the theatre space, and what is now the back door of the bar was originally the emergency exit for the theatre.
