Nice photo Jack, good to see the building is still there.
Here is a 2007 photo of the former Princess Theatre. The interior was totally gutted decades ago and converted into office space.
From the Robertson County Historical Society:
“In the early part of 1916 J. W. Bell opened the Bell Theatre on the north side of the Public Square (now known as 5th Avenue West). In August 1920, the Crescent Amusement Company of Nashville bought the Bell Theatre property and changed the name of the house to the Princess Theatre.
The first manager of the Prin-cess Theatre was Wallis Walling followed by Bill Elliott, C. A. Bailey, V. M. Rhinehart, H. D. Judkins, Joe Murphy and Captain W. D. Ament. Mr. A.L. Hancock succeeded Captain Ament and became the manager of the Princess Theatre in 1928. Prior to that he worked for Paramount Pictures as a salesman in the Louisville Exchange of the Eastern Division. Serving as manager of the local Princess Theatre until 1939, Mr. Hancock was transferred to the new Capitol Theatre when it was opened on South Main Street by the Crescent Amusement Company and remained as manager of the Capitol until his retirement.
The Princess Theatre located at 105 5th Avenue West (building currently occupied by Edward Jones Investments)“.
