I’m not sure when the Propst Theater opened. I find conflicting dates ranging from 1947 to 1950. This theater was named after its owner, Louie L.Propst. The Propst theater closed in 1969. It was demolished and replaced with a shopping center.

In 1963 the Propst was part of the Stewart & Everett theater chain.
