A 2005 article (see below) from the Benton Courier mentions the Bauxite Theatre closing in 1956 with the film “The Lawless Street”, starring Randolph Scott and Angela Lansbury. The article notes the theater closed in conjunction with the mining operations in Bauxite. It was one of three movie theaters owned by Wallace and Lena Kauffman of Benton. Further information on this theater would be appreciated.
