Not related to the All Jersey multiplex, this theatre is the only theater left in Newark showing movies, and the only theater in the area that’s now independently run after originally owned by Sony/Loews, which would run the nearby theater in Elizabeth.

Newark gets cash to save ailing movie theater
according to Mayor Corey Booker, this theater will expand to 14 screens next year under the supervision of Newark-born and Boston Celtics player Shaquille O'Neal. The theater will have state of the art amenities. Groundbreaking is set for June, and will open for the holiday 2011 season. It’s about time that a megaplex returns to Newark.
