Chuck, The theater on the south side of Douglas Avenue in the image was the Marple Theater and later known as the Vogue Art Theater. Odd number buildings on are the south part of Douglas with the even numbers being on the north side.

If you turn the google street view around to the other side of the street you can still see the theatre.

That is possible. It wouldn’t be the first time that I have received incorrect information from a library. If the library is correct about East Douglas Ave, then the address would most likely be 404 East Douglas Ave.

Perhaps the address got transposed as the street number left of the Corral looks as if it reads 406.

Maybe someone could verify this. The Wichita Public Library gives the following info on a Corral Theater:

“Yale Theater at 504 E. Douglas. It was formerly the Old Novelty Theater and later the Corral Theater”.
