The Capitol Theatre was built in 1927 by Thomas Conway. It was destroyed by fire in February 1964.
At that time a local paper announced plans to rebuild on the same location. Re-construction was finished and later the theatre was renamed Playhouse Theatre.

The Capitol was rebuilt, for awhile it was the Playhouse Theatre for live shows and a puppet show. Now it is a dance club called the Nite Lite.
