The May 10, 1947, issue of Boxoffice said “R. H. Bolling opened his new theatre at Coeburn, Va., May 1.”

My Dad was the manager of the Coeburn Theater for about 30 years. I was the last projectionist when it closed in 1970. Here is a news paper clip of the Grand Opening in 1947.
