Built on the site of an earlier Lyric Theater which burnt down. The Lyric Theater was constructed in 1915 by IOOF and has been in operation except for brief interruptions since that time. Seating was provided for 520 in the single screen auditorium. The Lyric name was retained until at least 1950.
Later re-named Tiffany Theater, the theater is today a three screen all digital theater. All three auditoriums have been renovated into luxury theaters with high backed rockers on stadium risers. The main auditorium (Screen 1) has a seating capacity of around 120 and is wheelchair accessible. The upstairs auditorium (Screen 2) has a seating capacity of 92. The newest auditorium (Screen 3) has 41 seats, and is also wheelchair accessible. This auditorium allows the theater to provide a better selection of films and to keep movies longer. All auditoriums feature the latest technology with Barco digital projectors and Dolby Digital surround sound. Screen 1 is equipped with a Dolby Digital 3D capable projector, one of only a handful of this type to be installed in the state of Nebraska. All auditoriums have alternative content servers allow the showing of any type of digital media - from DVD’s, Blu-Ray’s, Gaming Systems, HDTV, Powerpoint Presentations, etc. All auditoriums have additional overhead lighting installed which makes the theatre multi-purpose.
The Tiffany Theater operates daily.
