Built in 1996 in the heart of Iqualuit, the capital city of the Canadian territory of Nunavut, by Bryan Pearson, the Astro Hill Theatre got its projection equipment from a defunct movie theater elsewhere in Canada and now offers two first-run movies each week.
It has also hosted concerts and comedy acts on its small stage.
The Astro Hill Theatre comfortably seats 135 patrons and is as up-to-date both technologically and architecturally as any other movie house in Canada, except this one happens to be the northernmost theater in North America.

Mike, peobably when Bryan submitted the Astro the Regal Goldstream wasn’t even built.
This theater is now listed in various online directories as the Astro Theatre & Conference Center. It does not seem to be a regularly scheduled cinema anymore.
Chris, the last listing for a feature film was thru June 21 on their facebook page.
