The twin Burlington Mall Cinemas opened in 1969 and was divided into a triplex in 1979.
One of the earliest twins in Canada, the old movie theater closed in 1997.
The Cinemas is now a super sports store.

I was an assistant manager at this theatre for a year or so. I loved it. I can’t believe it no longer exists. I have so many memories of it. I remember sitting in the storage rooms upstairs and reading back through the record books to see what was playing in its first years of operation. I knew every inch of that theatre. Sadly missed.
I saw many first-run movies here. They were both great theaters. Great picture and sound, and comfortable.
I remember seeing so many movies there. I lived at Rosedale and Dynes during the 70’s, amongst them I saw Monty Python and the holy grail when it came out. They used to have intermission there too as I recall. Great memories!
