Milford Quad Cinemas

The Milford Cinema opened with 1,800 seats on April 2, 1965. The opening film was “Shirley MacLaine in "John Goldfarb, Please Come Home!”. It was later twinn, and finally becam a 4-dscreen theatre. Closed and demolished in 2004.

Another loss due to the opening of the Connecticut Post 14-screen.

The streetside marquee for this cinema is still standing even though the building is gone.

Remember when this was a twin cinema owned by General Cinemas. Saw my first James Bond film here ( Thunderball ).

Cinemark finally did something with the streetside marquee in 2015…a mere 9 years after the new theater opened.

As a single when first open had about 1800 seats I was relieved the theater manager for a vacation of two week remember it was one of the earlier BOND films

This theater was never a Cinemark but was a National Amusements .
