Opened in 1938 as the Howard Theatre. It retained this name into the 1950’s at least.

Judging from this July 2008 photo and this close-up view, the Monon dates back to 1938. The status is open and the function is first run movies.

Listed in Film Daily Yearbooks 1941 thru 1950 at least, as the Howard Theatre, the only theatre in Monon, IN

If this theatre’s open, they must keep its showtimes in an highly secured vault to keep it off the internet.
