This article from the January 4, 2006 Anacortes American talks about the opening of the new bank in the former Island Theatre. The article says the theater became the Island in 1947. However, the Film Daily Yearbook shows the theater as the Island already in 1945.

Listed as the Island Theatre in the 1941 edition of Film Daily Yearbook 500 seats (Closed). This could have been the changeover period from Paramount to Island. In the 1943 edition of F.D.Y. it is open as the Island Theatre with 490 seats.
