Pittsburgh North 11

This was originally eight screens, later increased to eleven. Operated by National Amusements, it was taken over by Rave Motion Picture Theatres in December 2009. In June 2013 it was taken over by Cinemark. It was closed May 14, 2015.

The multiplex is outside the Pittsburgh city limits in McCandless Township. Of the original eight auditoriums, two had 480 seats and the other six had 540 seats.

December 7th, 1979 grand opening ad in photo section. The same theatre also opened on the same day in Valley Stream, NY near NYC.

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette announced today that this location would be closing after business on 5/14/15. Sad. No more Showcases in Pittsburgh.
