The Afrigha Cinema (sometimes spelt Afriqa Cinema) opened in 1964. It is located on Vali-e Asr Avenue, by Vali-e Asr Square at the Zartosht intersection.

Thought it is worth to mention: Afriqa (Afriagha)cinema was prviously called “Atlantic” cinema…that is before the revolution in 1978. The name of almost all the movie theathers, along with other public places were changed in years following the year mentioned above.
