The Columia Theater was located on Acushnet Avenue at the bottom of Wing Street in the old Monte Pio Hall (Portuguese club and later a Cape Vedean Club). The building was demolished in the 1940’s to make way for Bay Village, the city’s first housing project. The building was built in 1889 and also housed a bowling alley and pool hall.
