The car capacity for the Super 71 Drive-In was 700 cars.
I remember in the mid-1970’s, they were planning on building a dome over the whole lot!
And now we take you back to 1972:

Here is another article. The theater closed before the 99 year lease expired.
The Super 71 Drive-In theater opened in 1948 as Allie S. Allen, through her agent, Herman Greenstein of Monessen Realty, signed a 99-year lease with Outdoor Theatre, Inc. The theater was run by the C.B. Co. (James Castelli of Library and Victor Castelli of Canonsburg), who later leased property in front of the drive-in to McDonald’s and then sold the large tract of land to Gustine BV Associates Ltd. in the mid-1990s.
Approx. address for this drive-in was 845 Rostraver Road.
Papa Screen now Walmart! Baby Screen now McDonald’s! UGH!!! WHY?
