The Willow Creek opened as an eight screen cinema in 1989. It was a typical of the Cineplex Odeon cinemas of the period.
Muller Family Theatres took the cinema over following the demise of Cineplex Odeon. Muller added four more screens by building on, not dividing. They also installed stadium seating in all the auditoriums.

Muller Family Theatres took over the operations of the Willow Creek Cienmas in 2001 and the four additional screens were added in 2004.
If this house opened in 1989, then it was built during the period when David K. Mesbur was the exclusive architect for the Cineplex Odeon chain (1983-1990.)
