Majestic Theatres was a three screen, 330 seat movie theater, a comedy club and a cafe located in one building complex.
In April 2010, it was enlarged to eight screens and was screening movies again, but had closed by September 2010.

I have only seen 2 movies here, Night at the Museum and The Sentinel. It was very nice although I was not used to it since most other theaters don’t have dining. I have been to the comedy club frequently as that is it’s main attraction.
I thought I heard from someone that they stopped playing movies here. Is that true? If so, what is that side of the theater used for now?
I don’t know if movies are still shown here. This theater is now advertised as the Kansas City Improv.
According to their web site they are not showing movies any longer.
As of April 1, 2010, this theater will now be known as the Studio Movie Grill; the comedy club is gone, and the number of screens has been increased to eight. The theater is located in the Zona Rosa lifestyle center. Story here: View link
