Originally seating 600 patrons, the Rex Theatre was one of two small movie theatres operating in the town of Nanticoke in the 1940’s and 1950’s. The other was the Family Theatre and there was also the larger State Theatre.

A Moller theater organ opus 3261 size 2/10 was installed in the Rex Theater in 1921 at a cost of $5500.
