The Paramount Theater opened in 1927, and was equipped with a Kilgen organ. It became an American Legion post in the late-1960’s. Currently, it serves a dual purpose as an AIDS action office for the Arbor Hill Community, and a branch of SEFCU (State Employees Federal Credit Union).
The theater was run by the local Hellman chain for a time.
Recently, the deco front was covered over with a new facade.
