The Paramount in Albany had a relatively-short life. It opened in the 30’s, and became an American Legion post in the late 60’s. Currently, it serves a dual purpose as an AIDS action office for the Arbor Hill Community, and a branch of SEFCU (State Employees Federal Credit Union).
The theater was run by the local Hellman chain for a time.
Recently, the deco front was covered over with a new facade.

Was there another Paramount Theater in Albany, NY? A Kilgen theater organ opus 3692 size 3/5 was installed in a Paramount Theater in 1927.
