Lake County Drive-In

The Lake County Drive-In was located in the tiny town of Wynnburg. Wynnburg is halfway between Tiptonville and Ridgely, the two major towns in Lake County. It was located on Highway 78 (now known as the Carl Perkins Highway after Lake County’s most famous son) on the left if you were driving south from Tiptonville to Ridgely. Virtually all the town of Wynnburg is on the other side of the highway.

I never actually saw a movie there, but drove by it often in the early 70’s. I don’t know when it opened or closed, but by the late 80’s there was no sign it had ever been there.
