Listed as operating as the Uptown Theater from its opening on November 9, 1935 with Fred Astaire & Ginger Rogers in “Top Hat”. It operated through into the 1950’s. It was later re-named Rivoli Theater which closed in 1962 and was demolished three years later.

The Uptown opened on November 9, 1935. It was a Will Horwitz theater. H. Koetter, of Koetter & Arbing, Inc., was the architect. The premier feature was “Top Hat†with Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers.
