The Grand Theatre opened in 1924 and continued as a movie theatre until closing in 1957.
It became the Little Theatre on the Square presenting live performances with stars from Broadway and Hollywood. This is central Illinois' only proffesional summer stock theatre.

The TLTOTS was a wonderful place out in the middle of nowhere. Guy Little, the director, brought in some major talent and presented many of Broadways best musicals. The Little Theatre was a major cultural draw in Central Illinois and it was there that many people were first exposed to theater.

The Grand was owned and operated by Lee Norton in the 1950s. He also owned the Sullivan Drive-In on Route 32 at that time.
Cool name and theatre.
