Built in 1925, this theatre was originally operating as a movie theatre with 378 seats.

The Palmetto went through extensive remodeling in 1993 and reopened seating 221, it is now used for plays, concerts and art shows serving Hampton County.

Glad to come across this theatre been by it a bunch of times on the way to Hilton Head.Stopped a few times and snapped some pictures. I noticed no marquee for movie titles,guess there were a few theatres like this one.

This town also had the HAMPTON DRIVE-In theatre.Any info?
