The Roxy Theatre was part of the McCarthy Circuit in the early-1960’s.

From an obit for Russell William Burgess: He owned and operated the Roxy Theater in McClusky, ND from 1945 to 1957. He moved to Williston, ND in 1959, where he owned and operated the A & W Drive-in until 1964. He then moved to Velva, ND in 1964, where he built the Valley Outdoor Theatre in 1966, owning and operating the business until retiring in 1975.
