the 1st theater i ever saw a film at, and my 1st job
The Marlton 8 began construction in 1982 around November and was completed by May 1983. I was a Projectionist/Engineer/ Marketing manager here from 1989 to 1998 when I transferred to help open our 24 plex at Neshaminy. I stayed with AMC until late 2006. And no, I really never believed house 7 was haunted.
AMC Marlton 8 was the place to be to go to movies. I went to lots of movies from Transformers 3 to The Avengers. Great experince and Great service. It will not die
The AMC Marlton 8 is currently being renovated, with new comfortable reclining seats, and Coca Cola’s Freestyle soda system, which has 100+ choices of Coca Cola products.
oh and here’s the link about that from AMC’s website

This theatre has opened as was discussed this morning (2/25/13) on the WIP Morning show. Program host Angelo Cataldi raved about the new seating, digital projection system (the picture is clearer than the best high definition television out there)
He did go on quite a bit about a scene in “Side Effects” though
Hopefully someone will get out there and get some photographs to post up here soon.
The AMC Fresh Meadows 7 went through simiar renovations.
In reply to hdtv267, HD TV at its best is said to be equivalent to 16mm, so yes, 2k & 4k digital film projection should be better than TV even if perhaps not always up to 35mm standards. And, yes, I’d look forward to a report in writing- and photos if someone would, as to these changes.
I was just quoting Angelo Cataldi to at least give some manner of update on this theater.
Hopefully I’ll be able to get there myself soon and post a more personal review and photos.
First it was the remodel and now, this theatre is making headlines for the wrong reasons as a couple with down’s syndrome is claiming they were mistreated during their visit to the AMC Marlton 8.
Video the the KYW TV 3 story is included in link below
