@ Usherb4. you are partially correct, there was a man and a woman abducted there, they were both beaten and the male was later dumped out of the vehicle, the woman was found early the next morning executed. it was a very sad day for the theater and the resident of Carson. I worked at the SB6 at the time as the house manager. i believe the womans name was “Irene Martinez” i might be wrong, it was a long time ago!
i was mistaken, her name was irene franco, and here are some LA times link about the incident.

This opened on January 30th, 1981 by Syufy THeatres with a newspaper preview showing on the 28th and 29th.

This address is not only correct, it is very incorect! It points to a neighborhod that has been there BEFORE the drive in snd still exists!
THE correct address for this theatre was 20100 S Figueroa St, Carson, CA 90745. It is the western entrance next to the freeway.
Side note: Private Benjamin with the glorious Goldie and the magnificent Eileen opened in October 1980 NOT 1981 as that ad is from Dec 1980 (Popeye opened Christmas ‘80)! Opening date is also wrong… Please update! 😍😍😍
