This drive-in operated from 1969 to 1988. The property is abandoned and deteriorating, although there has been some local interest in preservation.

According to this website, the first Holiday Drive-In opened in 1953 with a capacity for 650 cars. Its location was 30th Street. In 1969, the original drive-in was demolished and this Holiday Drive-In opened at 28th Street & Lee Hill Road where it operated until 1988. The marquee has been saved and designated as a local historic landmark. The marquee will be restored to look exactly like the original 1953 marquee. So, 28th Street & Lee Hill Road should be the location for this former drive-in.
The original Holiday Drive In was entered from 28th Street. The drive was a long one. When 30th Street was cut though in the 1960s, the sign and the entrance were moved to 30th Street, and the old two-block drive from 28th became a city street. The entire operation was moved to North 28th Street and Lee Hill Road. I don’t know when it became a twin.
So the famous sign has actually been in three places. It has been restored, but it is in the twin form.
Car capacity in 1975 was 1,000.
Status should be demolished. This is now a housing development.
Here is a 2008 photo of the marquee.
The second screen was added in 1970.
