Some mor einfo on the Jot Theatre, was part of the Joys Theatre Chain at one time, opened in the early-1930’s still in operation in mid-1950’s and I found two addresses 1825 and 1827 N. Railroad St.
Chuck….The building is on 1st Street right near North Hazel Street. Enter 1st St and N Hazel St into Google maps. Then click on “More info about 1st St & N Hazel St” and you should find the Joy Theater building in the photo.
Here is a photo of the Joy circa 1952. My mother said her aunt (Odie Turner) used to take her to movies there in the early 40’s when she would visit her.

My aunt (great Aunt) was a Durrett (see business sign next to theater) before marriage.
