The Ideal Theatre was opened in 1909. It was rebuilt and reopened as the Rapids Theatre on February 26, 1931. In 1976 & 1977 it was showing adult movies.

It was twinned and reopened as the Rogers Cinema on June 17, 1977. It was expanded several times: in November 1988 to 3 screens, in 1989 to 4 screens, in May 1990 to 5 screens and in November 1995 to 7 screens.

This opened as Ideal in 1909 and rebuilt and reopened as Rapids on February 26th, 1931. In 1976-1977 it was showing adult movies until it closed for renovations into the Rogers Cinemas twin cinemas, which opened on June 17th, 1977. More to come…
