The Paramount Theater was opened on April 5, 1931 with Claudette Colbert in “Honor Among Lovers”. It was operated by Publix until 1935 when Fox Midwest Theaters took over. It is not known if it was open continuously during the period 1931-1935.
From 1940, Fox Inter-Mountain Theaters Inc. is listed as the operator until closing on February 6, 1963. After 1964 it may have been open for a short time as an independent but this is not confirmed.
