In 1946 the Wallace theater stood beside a barber shop in a clean building with a shabby marquee sheltering an outside ticket booth with entrances and movie poster frames on either side and no sign.
By 1948 a tall vertical neon sign, a showy marquee and lots of neon had been added. Admission was fifty cents for adults and fifteen cents for children.
