Raja Cinema Kingsway was operated by Raja Cinemas and showed East Indian movies. It was reopened in fall 2012 as the Collingwood Cinema.

Originally opened as the Kingsway in 1939 by Odeon Theaters until 1965. It was remodelled in 1966 and subsequently renamed the Haida. It was closed in 1991 and sold to new operators who would screen pornographic films and later East Indian films when the name was changed to Raja.

This theatre just reopened as the Collingwood Cinema. It’s being run by the former owners of the now-closed Denman Place Cinema.

The Collingwood has closed its doors again, unfortunately. The theatre closed on April 30 due to a dispute between its management and the theatre’s landlord.
