The Ritz Theatre opened in 1920. In the early-1990’s, a non-profit group bought the building with the purpose of reviving the Florida Chautauqua, an arts festival that began in 1885 and continued until 1920. The building is currently used for festival events as well as concerts and live performances.

This was also known as the Lawson Cinema. 1988 Photo
During many years as the Ritz this theatre was operated by Mann Theatres. It should have an AKA in the heade of Fowler Theatre along with the correct addres thaat LM posted on 8/19/08.
