The 5th Avenue Cinemas is a five screen cinema operated by Festival Cinemas. It was taken over by Cineplex Entertainment in March 2013.

Here is a May 2008 photo of the 5th Avenue Cinemas.
All digital projection as of December, 2011.
The 5th Avenue Cinemas opened in 1996. Seating ranges from 100 seats in the smallest auditorium to 344 in the largest. Total seating is 986.
Actually Chuck, the smallest screen ( #1 ) has 88 seats.
The numbers out there are from when the place opened in 1996, but the seats were replaced in 2006.
The Big house ( #3 ) has around 320 now.

Leonard Schein and Tom Lightburn, owners of the Park and the 5th Avenue Cinemas, have announced they have sold both theatres to Cineplex. The sale will be completed in March.
This theatre was built by Leonard Schein and eventually it became a partnership situation of Famous Players Canadian Corporation!!
The sale now appears to be official, as the Festival Cinemas website says that the 5th Avenue is now part of Cineplex Entertainment.
