The Main Theatre was opened on Novemb er 19, 1939. It was owned at that time by Thomas Karren and Francis Feltch.
The theatre was a California white stucco building trimmed in a silver on the top and black carraraa at the foyer. Indirect neon lighting illuminated the foyer. Seating was divided in three sections by deeply carpeted aisles. The 404 seat auditorium was a streamline style in buff and dark brown.
Equipment was RCA sound along with two Kaplan Projectors and the screen measured 12'x16'.
The Main Theatre was located on Main Street across the street from the Vogue Theatres. The Main closed in 1959 and was later renovated for retail.
