In 1985 the small and ornate Rex Theater stood closed but in good condition. A blue trimmed marquee sheltered the entrance and outside ticket booth. At the point of and on top of the marquee was a blue vertical sign that had "Rex" spelled out in block letters.

Here is a 1940 postcard view of Main Street. The Rex is on the right side.

Don, There is a old fashioned drug store on the corner (Or there was) of 6th & Main in Cannon City. They had two round racks of these old postcards. Some you openmed up and there were like six that folded into one. Your post card reminded me of that.
