This Carlton Theatre should not be confused with the far more famous Odeon Carlton; this was a much smaller theatre on Parliament Street north of Carlton Street that operated from 1930 until 1954. After closing as a movie house, it was used as a CBC recording studio and still later as a dance school, its current function.

Ah, no. That is a picture of the Odeon Carlton, not the Carlton that was on Parliament Street.
