The Forest Drive-In was one of several drive-in theatres in the Durham area. The Forest Drive-In closed and was demolished somewhere in the early to mid-1980’s. A rest home facility now stands where the Forest Drive-In once stood.

The Forest Drive-In had a capacity for 500 cars in 1975.
I have found several sites that give the address for the Forest Drive-In at 3416 Holloway St., when you do an aerial you can see parts ot the drive-in layout. i know that eventually Holloway becomes Wake Forest Highway but 00 Wake Forest is not the correct address. It should be 3416 Holloway St., Durham, NC. 277044. Opened in 1969 – closed in 1985. Operated by Howell Theatres.
