Harlem Theater

The Harlem Theater opened in October of 1935. It was owned by an African American named George F. Jones and was patronized by African Americans. It was later taken over by the Luccahese family, still catering for African American patrons. The Harlem Theater operated for almost forty years. The theater burned down in 1973.
