Cover of the opening programme designed for Plaza, by Australian Architect Rex Smith. The design is most unusual being printed in silver & green onto black card, similar to the original background of the screen curtains of the Plaza also designed by Smith for Holophane to manufacture. This picture shows the silver printing as white, so looses some of its effect particularly with the silver stars scattered around the lettering. It would be interesting to know if Rex Smith designed any other cinemas or returned to Australia.
