Once owned at operated by Fairlane-Litchfeld Corporation. The theatre had six screens and was located on College Road across the street from the campus of the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.

The College Road Cinemas were demolished in October/November 2010.

It looks nothing like the LITCHFIELD Four Seasons Cinemas in Hendersonville,N.C. Granted that was only four screens, but it looks nothing like the pictures above.

College Road Cinemas opened on June 3, 1983 as a six-screen cinema owned and operated by Fairlane-Litchfeld Corporation. By the mid-to-late 1980’s United Artists Theatres took over the operations until its closing in the mid-1990’s.

It was demolished on October 26, 2010.

raysson, this theater closed late 2002. She made it into the 21 century, but not by much. I will try and find my newspaper article that describes the closing of this theater and the sale to UNCW
