I believe that anything salvagable has been removed, The owner put a new roof on several years ago, and painted the exterior, but I saw a hole in the side wall last month and a bobcat parked outside with debris waiting for a dumpster. If anyone really wanted to they could build a 10 screen in the old Kmart Plaza across from the Ruskin Drive in.

Built in 1948 by Harold Willis, the Ruskin Theater was the hub of entertainment for the surrounding communities. Since closure, the theatre has been used for various purposes, including a thrift store. One positive aspect is that this historic building is located within the Downtown Ruskin Redevelopment Plan area.
