The Valley River Cinemas opened on December 6, 1985. It was closed on June 30, 2000. It reopened on May 15, 2001 It was taken over by Coming Attractions Theatres on March 4, 2011 and renamed Eagle River Cinema.
It was closed 2012 and was demolished by December 2019.

Well ,it ain’t much,but here is what you guys were playing June 7 1990. on two screens “BACK TO THE FUTURE III” “TOTAL RECALL”,“CADILLAC MAN”, “FIREBIRDS”.Valley River was also selling “DICK TRACY” ticket T-shirts to see “DICK TRACY” coming soon. Listed under the FESTIVAL theatre banner in the paper.They has a 3.50 bargain shows on this date June 7 1990.
The Valley River Cinema was taken over by Coming Attractions Theates on March 4, 2011. The name was changed to Eagle River Cinema.

How Eagle River didn’t patronize this, then let this be remodeled, still didn’t patronize it, and then allowed it close and the building be demolished so all that remains is an eyesore crater, I’ll never know.
Then again I guess Eagle River just doesn’t mind being a cultural cesspool. 🙄
