The Edgewater Plaza Twin Cinema was opened by Ogden Perry Theatres around 1964 or 1965 in Edgewater Shopping Center. It was a white brick building with about six steps leading up to its entrance and boxoffice. It was very popular theatre, located between Biloxi and Gulfport, it operated until about 1976 and was closed and demolished.
Around 1975, they had added two more screens which were located in a small theatre inside the shopping center itself, and were not as popular. This part of the theatre was operated by United Artists Theatres until the early 1990’s. It was closed and demolished during the remodeling of the shopping center.
