I went with high school friends to 2001: A Space Odyssey on a Friday or Saturday night. We were lucky to get in and had to sit in the first row. Wow!

Does this theater still exist? I’ve been trying to find it on Google Earth, but there’s nothing on 4th Street remotely like it.

Re. Bill’s question: The theater closed sometime in the early 80’s if memory serves. The building was not demolished, but it was converted to office space. It is the white building directly across the street from Foothills Brewery.

Added a photo of the location as it is seen today. Using what others have said above and the location of the street lamp and parking meter from the 1981 photo, it should be accurate.
