Built in 1908, the theater exists on the 2nd floor. The 1st floor is currently occupied by the Chesterhill branch of the Morgan Co. Library, and is modern.
But open the door to the stairs to the theater is stepping back many decades. The theater features live performances now (though the silent film “Nosferatu” was shown in October 2008), and while nice and clean is not ‘restored’ and has authentic character. All original equipment, numerous old advertisements.
The theater has a balcony. Carbon arc lamphouses, 1930’s era projectors. If you are in Southeast Ohio, take a side trip to Chesterhill and take a look at this interesting theater.

Zvents gives the address as 7520 Marion Street.
The address above is technically correct, however Mapquest and Yahoo! maps have coordinates in their databases that are several miles off. Instead use Marion St. & Coal Street, 43728 to locate the theater.
Sometimes the map will show the wrong location for a particular address. To see this building on Google maps, you can use 7420 Marion Street for the address. This is the website for the library which also gives the address as 7520 Marion Street.
