Maggie Scott was already the "first lady" of theaters in Odessa when she opened the Twin Terrace Drive-In, in January 1953. It was Odessa’s largest with 1,250 auto spaces. The Scott family put on a huge open house celebration the day preceding the grand opening that included free snacks and cartoons. The opening got under way with a double feature. The two movies were Charlton Heston in “The Savage” and Sterling Hayden in “Hellgate”. The Scotts had 20 big years in the business. Lynne Teeter took over the Twin Terrace Drive-In and closed it in 1980. Not a trace of it remains today.
